ARTIST PROFILE

When I was sixteen I was apprenticed to C. Leslie Smith, a silversmith in Allentown , Pa. I worked for him for five years, then opened my own retail jewelry business in New Hope, Pa. in 1969. My first shop was a simple affair; I was able to sell my pieces right over my work bench. My business and I have gone through many changes since then. I now have a wholesale line along with my one of a kind work and do several select retail craft shows every year. I have always made my living as a jeweler, and continue to learn and grow as a goldsmith. I know I can’t learn all there is to know about gold smithing in a lifetime and I still look forward to going to work most days. So finding new ways of expressing myself continues to be an ongoing challange
